About the impact you will be making: 

As a Business Development Representative, an individual contributor, you will proactively manage a national geographic sales territory calling on companies and their decision-makers, establish and cultivate relationships through regular contact (via phone calls, emails, meetings) with prospective clients. This role requires a unique combination of skills including communication, organizational, interpersonal, and technical capabilities.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Drive the lead qualification and nurture management program and processes.
  • Represent Reach and build the company reputation for service and quality through the relationships built with key prospects/accounts.
  • Prospect for new clients through email and phone campaigns; following up on “warm” leads provided via marketing and telemarketing campaigns.
  • Consistent use of Dynamics 365 CRM system to track and manage all sales activities and pipeline opportunities.
  • Engage in Account Management, including account planning, meeting follow-up, pipeline development, opportunity pursuit, contract negotiation, risk management, proposal and statement of work (SOW) development.
  • Prepare and present customized proposals and agreements to prospective clients, including participating in online demonstrations of our solutions.
  • Share feedback gained from prospect and clients conversations with the internal delivery team to aid in the development of new features and products.

Succeeding as a BDR requires a unique set of skills:

  • Ability to think outside the box to stand out in a crowded marketplace.
  • Effective communication skills across channels to win over prospects when they pick up the phone or read your email.
  • Proficiency in identifying prospects and tracking down their contact details, as well as finding commonalities to make personal connections.
  • Ability to handle rejection and continue pursuing leads with a positive attitude.
  • Demonstrable success in exceeding sales quotas over an extended period in a B2B outside sales position within the last 5 years.
  • Technology and Business Services Experience: Preferably with Microsoft D365/Azure.
  • Comfort with negotiating terms of proposals to achieve closed deals.
  • Proven experience calling on top-level executives in a competitive business environment.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Skills: Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and ability to conduct independent market research.
